Chic Coastal Semi

A magical doubling of floor space for a narrow family home.

Despite the constraints in designing a second storey for this narrow semi-detached house in Sydney’s east, the space and dimensions we achieved have transformed this into a beautiful home that will cater to this family’s growing needs, well in to the future.

The niche spaces and efficiently sized rooms were best enhanced by the muted palette and simple décor. The North-facing feature gable window frames tree-tops and roof ridges of surrounding properties: a charming view that still maintains privacy for all.

To the South, a balcony offers the cool relief of the ocean breeze on a hot summer night and the views to Bronte beach are stunning, all year round.
