SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW
The original timber framing is classic hardwood (and I do mean extremely hard wood) and in some cases, perfectly intact. So it’s been maintained in locations where it meets the current relevant building code, but here you can see where the master builder has married some of the new with some of the old. Sort of a carpentry metaphor for the who project really, a bit of the old with some of the new to create a contemporary home that still has charm.
