Weatherboarding
We’ve started cladding the exterior with Weathertex Weathergroove, a product made by pulping down hardwood and then compressing it under extreme pressure (just like a diamond!). This creates a stable, solid product that’s formed into sheets with a good range of profiles and surface textures. I like it because it’s 97% natural hardwood, contains no resins, binders or added formaldehydes, so despite the bit of sawdust on her nose, site dog can breath easy! http://weathertex.com.au/product/weathergroove-smooth-150/

October 16, 2018 5:41 pmInterested to see Hardies wall wrap under Weathertex cavity fixing system – was that selected because its white colour is better thermally than the dark brown (other than colour they are identical rebranded Proctorwrap products)?

October 16, 2018 6:06 pmThanks for the query, Dick. No, the colouring of the wrap was not the motivation for product choice. Given the similarity between vapour-permeable wall wraps on the market, it gets down to the builder’s personal choice (including cost of supply at time of order and/or what is left over from the previous job!).
