The heating of the new slab will be critical in providing warmth for the entire house, including the new upper floor. The tubes will conduct heated water through the slab, giving off a sustained, low warmth. See how the tubing is arranged around the kitchen island bench (look for the green spray paint). Thanks to this approach, there will be no more ice-box effect in winter – yay!
